Riverfront Park
RiverFront Park is a two block downtown area along the Flint River that serves as a gateway to Downtown Albany, Georgia and other landmarks along the Flint River. The park is also the trailhead of the nature trail system

known as Flint River Greenways. The downtown park includes Turtle Grove and Bridge House. Turtle Grove is the children’s oriented part of RiverFront Park. Ray Charles and Roy Hamilton. Ritz Theater has also served as a location of original plays by Curtis Williams, an African-American playwright and former professor at Albany State University. The Ritz Theater was restored and rededicated in December 1991 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
